Dear Bruce, a close friends of mine whose name is Wolfgang Freye celebrates his 50th birthday septembre this year. He lives with you (and your music) for more than half of his life (even if you didn't realize). We will publish a small book for his birthday. And he would be very happy and very proud, if there were some words from Jack Bruce in this book (f.i. about concerts in Essen,in the ruhr area or in Germany). And we were happy to. Is there any chance for a message ? Please answer to the adress above.

Lets all appreciate the awesome presence and musical virtuosity that has enabled the man to slot chameleon-like into any band with seamless dexterity. Its time, long overdue for the young musicians of today who wander aimlessly into styles forced upon them by the commercially driven market place to revisit the musical legacy left behind in the wake of such greats as Jack Bruce. I will never tire of listening. Mick...

Jack, I have a box set of The Cream. Two live disks and two studio. I play them all the time as I have most of my life. Some of my freinds tell me I'm musically stuck in the past. I tell them they have some catching up to do. Love you Jack bruce. Thank you so much. Phil Townson

I saw Cream in '69 at the Corral in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I started playing Bass 16 months later. Jack was having so much fun. The fans gave them 3 standing ovations. The next day in Edmonton they said that was the best crowd ever. Jack's best solo for me is Apostrophe with Frank Zappa. Around 1990 I bought a 1968 Gibson EB3 in tribute for the influence that Jack's playing had on me. I've had a lot of fun too! Thanks Jack!

Well, the first time I heard Jack was when he played with a group in which a guitar player, many people called GOD, played nice blues licks. Although I played guitar, from that point on I knew which side of the music I was ! Thanks a million times to Jack for what his compositions, his bass playing and vocal have brought to me ! As I often answer in interviews when asked with what musicians I'd like to play, I answer : with Jack Bruce on bass and Jack Bruce on vocals ! jfm l'inguitarissable http://www.jfmathieu.com

Dear Mr. Bruce:
Upon hearing of your medical condition, the song "Consul at Sunset" kept popping into my head. You must know the impact of your music penetrated my sense of hearing and now resides deep in the confines of mind and has expressed itself many times in countless ways. Thank you.
I continue to "run a little too fat". EV

hello Derek and JACK,
between me and my 19 year old daughter, my 15 year old son and 13 year old daughter, our favorite track is #7 from BBM. What you, Ginger and Gary do with "we're going wrong" (why does love have to go wrong") is tremendous.
I saw you at Toads in 88, and I try to emulate your ingenuity whenever I play, as I jam with my kids.
Thanks Jack

Jack - I'm sixteen and having a good time with my band. My band plays improvised electric blues, though not to original still a good time :) I just wanted and thank you so much for everything you have done for me in the past years, with your fantastic playing and song writing. It has inspired me along with my friends (band members) to produce music we enjoy and love instead of trying to play songs that appeal to the musical wants of our generation,i.e rap and punk. Thank you so much for what you did and are doing. I hope to keep you updated on my bands progress.
keep on rockin, Ben - guitarist

Dear Jack (or anybody out there!). Can you confirm if you released a 12 INCH e.p. in the late 70's or early 80's on the Ampex label? If so, did it contain previously unreleased material? Mant thanks, Neil.

How do you address a person who is beyond addressing due to his effect on my life. You are beyond words in your playing. I have been in awe of you for 36 years. I need to ask you about what bass you used on the track "ARE YOU THE ONE" form JOhnny Mc Laughlin Electric Guitarist Featuring Jack Bruce, Tony Williams, and John Mc Laughlin. Do you remember the bass and amp you used on that track? That track made me realize what a bass monster you are, Good health to you.Thanx John Pick (954)421-4671 machine (954)655-4671 cell

Jack, thanks for the memories. I'm A fan since childhood and a Bass player. You have been a source of inspiration and influence in my playing and musical taste. I saw you about a year and a half ago in Brooklyn, NY for FREE in a park near Coney Island. The vocal during your rendition of "Elenor Rigby" can still send chills down my spine when I think about it. I hope that your recovery is complete. God Bless. I hope you are "Sittin' in top of the world"

I am just learning of your illness. I hope that this new year will bring only the very best for you.
Theme From An Imaginary Western is probably my favorite song...it literally changed the direction of my entire life...
I was listening to a version of Theme and looked into the mirror while driving along the beach. The sun was falling into the water*..it was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
All of this happened-by accident-some 34 years ago.
Thank you so much for creating this song.
Very Best Regards,
Handlebar Henry-January 6, 2004
