I remember viewing a video clip of "As You Said" on YouTube before it was forever removed. I enjoyed this clip immensely and would like to get any information on acquiring the DVD which contains you performing solo in the studio. "As You Said" has always been a favorit of mine ever since I first heard it played on vinyl when it was first released on "Wheels Of Fire". Any info as to how I may odtain a copy of this video is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your assistance...Dave.

Oh man do i owe you a debt of gratitude :-) So much of my inspiration welled up from your archives of killer recordings and performances. Seems i can never get enough. I used to joke with a friend that "had Cream ever re-united" i'd crawl on hands and knees from 1000 miles to attend just to see you perform. I got my wish, tho the China-town bus seemed a far better means of transport to NYC, hahaha! You're solo work has been established as my own "master-class" to practice, learn, and listen to. Thanks again for sharing so much great music!

Just witnessed Jack last night at Celtic Connections "Bring it all Home" Gerry Rafferty tribute gig in Glasgow . . "Shipyard Town" was astonishing, as were the collaborations with Tom Robinson and James Vincent Macmorrow. I'm a "Retired" Glasgow Bassist (ex KT Blues Band and latterly "Roost" - and my partner Kate had neved heard Jack Live . . my main influence in 40+ years of playing of playing Her reaction "Wow, what a voice, what a Bass player and that is the most gorgeous looking Bass I've ever seen . . too much to hope that she may buy me one for my collection I suppose? Keep rocking Jack, you were the highlight of the gig for us and did Gerry proud I'm sure

Dear Jack I've just watched the BBC programme about you twice. As someone who saw one of Cream's very early gigs in Greenford North London in the mid sixties and bought Songs for a Tailor (which I had forgotten how good it was), I found the programme very moving. If there is any possibility of doing so, the tracks you recorded with Lau etc for the programme would be a beautiful CD for some one like me. I've played mainly folk and blues music all my life and that combination of musicians was just fantastic. I'm sure it would be successful. With my best wishes Bernie

Will get the 'tailor' album next. I have been watching your Gerry R performance - excellent. I have also watched the documentary and it was engrossing. I will watch it a few times more. Keep well, keep safe, keep going. Hope to see you in concert sometime

Hi Jack, Thanks for all the years of music. I'm a long time fan being turned on to your music in 1967 (at the age of 7!)by my older brother who had a band and had albums by GBO, MM and Cream. Since his CDs were destroyed in a fire (and my brother's not a big fan of digital downloads--he'll do them but he prefers a hard copy)I'm planning on picking up the boxed set. Is there anywhere here that one can purchase a signed card or booklet?- as I'd like to add that. Thanks for all the wonderful years of music and I hope to see you touring the U.S. again! I've been listening to "Jet Set Jewell" quite a bit lately and I'm just amazed that the suits foolishly decided NOT to release this back in the day.

Dear Jack, it's been a while since i wrote, have been jamming here in Wisconsin with several local blues bands, singing and playing the harp as I have done since 1969 when in high school. Still enjoy your live version of Taintime from Wheels of fire, Damn! you were blowing that night!!!! It was one of first songs I learned to play on harp, that and rollin and tumblin. You and Paul butterfield were my major influences, along with John Mayall. Was hoping you would hit Chicago area this year, best wishes on your upcoming tours!!! Ron

I went to see Jack Bruce & His Big Blues Band last night at Warrington Parr Hall - and what a storming gig it was!!! I also picked up the new live CD (from Milton Keynes). It was a great set last night - different from the gig I saw a year back (in Llandudno). The band doesn't do its own short set anymore - straight into the Bruce material with: "Can You Follow?" and then unexpectedly the great songs "Morning Story" and "You Burned The Tables On Me". I wish he would do the whole of 'Harmony Row' live one day (my fave JB album). We also got "Weird of Hermiston"; "Neighbour, Neighbour"; the wonderfully emotive "Child Song" and the inevitable "Spoonful" (where he played with the similar riff from This Anger's A Liar for a while). The bass was loud, proud and hit me right in the gut - which is exactly where it should do!!! Next up we got "Theme For an Imaginary Western" (of course!); followed by (and perhaps not in the right order) "Born Under A Bad Sign"; "Deserted Cities Of The Heart"; "We're Going Wrong"; "Sunshine ..." and "White Room" (with the excellent drum solo). The encore was "Politician". A brilliant set with this band now very tight and even the poor old bass-player allowed to join in more often (he played some great lines on DCOTH)! A wonderful evening and now I have the CD from MK stables to enjoy as well :) ...

Last night at Holmfirth, as someone approaching his 59th birthday, I did something unique by hanging around the back door for an hour hoping to pay my respects to a favourite musician. I am sorry that Jack felt indisposed to engage [a signature would have been nice] but this should not detract from the fact that this was a superb, well paced set from a great band and a great artist. I particularly enjoyed the revisiting of older solo material with a horn section.

Hello Jack: I have been a fan since I was ten years old when I was introduced to Cream by my older brother. After Cream disbanded, I wondered where you went. By chance, I picked up a record called "Colosseum:The Grass is Greener." Here, your old friends John Hiseman and the late, great Dick Heckstall-Smith covered "Rope Ladder to the Moon." Nice Work! I immediately went out and purchased "Songs for a Tailor." I purchased it again in C.D. format. It remains one of my favorite records ever. It's timeless, like you! Jack, please stay inspired and remain in good health. I love you. Sincerely, Greg Twyman

A long time fan of your music, and have many fond memories of seeing your various bands from pre - Cream days and beyond. Your music is inspirational and I'm always re-discovering many delights in your vast canon of music. Good to know that you're still recording and gigging. Hope to catch a gig in the near future.
